How Does the Procedure Work?
Dr. Barlow will carefully examine the skin cancer, marking its dimensions. To ensure your comfort, our surgical team administers anesthesia. The surgeon then removes a section of skin just around the identified cancer site. Microscopic analysis is conducted to confirm the complete removal of cancer. If there is cancer left after the first layer, this process continues, with thin layers of tissue being removed until there are no more cancer cells at the edges.
